Case Study By Ranktriz

From an Outdated Website to 438 Calls for a Doctor in Delaware

A Delaware endocrinology practice needed more than a better-looking website. It needed a trustworthy digital presence that could help local patients understand its services and confidently request an appointment. Ranktriz redesigned the website, developed medically researched and doctor-approved content, and rebuilt its local search presence. Google Business Profile became the campaign’s primary growth channel. Across six months, the profile generated 2,117 interactions and 438 calls, while organic website clicks increased by approximately 342.7%.

Project Overview

Industry: Healthcare and Endocrinology
Location: Delaware, United States
Engagement: Website Redesign, Medical Content, SEO and Local SEO
Primary Focus: Patient Calls, Appointments and Local Visibility

The practice had a compact website designed to introduce the doctor and explain the available medical services.

It did not need hundreds of pages. It needed a smaller number of carefully developed pages that patients could understand and trust.

The central goal was to strengthen the practice’s local visibility and help more patients discover it through Google Search and Google Maps.

The Challenge

The existing website was outdated and did not reflect the quality or professionalism of the medical practice.

  • Its design needed improvement, but appearance was only one part of the challenge. Medical websites must communicate complex information accurately without overwhelming patients or making unsupported claims.
  • The content needed to explain the practice, medical services, and patient experience in a natural tone. It also needed to reflect the doctor’s preferred communication style.
  • Because this was healthcare content, we could not approach the project like a standard local service website. Every page required careful research, clear wording, and professional review.
  • The practice also needed stronger local visibility. Its Google Business Profile had the potential to generate calls and appointment enquiries, but it required consistent optimization, updates, supporting citations, and alignment with the website.

Strategy By Ranktriz

The Approach

Rather than treating website development, SEO, and local search as completely separate activities, the project was approached as one connected digital strategy.

01 β€” Medical and Local Search Research

We began by auditing the website, existing content, technical condition, search visibility, local competitors, and Google Business Profile.

The research examined how patients searched for endocrinology services in Delaware and what information they needed before contacting a practice.

We reviewed competing medical websites to understand how they presented services, doctor credentials, locations, patient information, and appointment options.

The audit also covered page titles, descriptions, headings, internal links, schema markup, mobile usability, website speed, and local search signals.

Rather than building a large content plan without a clear purpose, we identified the pages that would provide the greatest value to patients and the practice.

This research created a focused strategy connecting website trust, medical accuracy, organic search, and local patient discovery.

02 β€” Website Redesign and Patient Experience

A developer at Ranktriz redesigned the existing website to create a cleaner and more professional experience.

The new design focused on the information patients needed most. It made the doctor’s background, practice details, services, location, and contact options easier to find.

Navigation was simplified because the practice did not need a large or complicated website. Each page received a defined purpose within the patient journey.

Layouts were improved for mobile users, while calls to action made it easier to contact the practice or move towards requesting an appointment.

The visual presentation was kept professional and reassuring without making the website feel overly promotional.

The result was a compact practice website that worked more like a digital introduction to the doctor. It gave patients enough information to understand the practice while guiding them towards the next step.

03 β€” Researched and Doctor-Approved Medical Content

Healthcare content required a different process from ordinary website copy.

A Ranktriz content writer with experience in medical subjects completed detailed research before drafting the pages. The writing focused on clarity, accuracy, and patient understanding.

We avoided exaggerated promises, unsupported treatment claims, and language that could create unrealistic expectations.

The content explained the practice and its services in a natural tone that reflected how the doctor wanted to communicate with patients.

After each important page was written, it was sent to the doctor for professional review. The doctor checked the information and approved the content before publication.

Ranktriz then installed and formatted the approved material on the redesigned website.

This workflow allowed us to improve search relevance while keeping medical accuracy and the doctor’s professional judgment at the centre of the project.

04 β€” Google Business Profile and Local Visibility

Google Business Profile became the most important part of the campaign because patients often search for nearby doctors directly through Google and Maps.

We reviewed and optimized the practice information, services, categories, descriptions, website connection, and other available profile details.

Ranktriz maintained a consistent posting schedule, including frequent updates during active campaign periods. These posts helped keep the profile current and gave patients additional information about the practice.

We also created citations across relevant business and local directories. Business details were kept consistent to strengthen the connection between the website, profile, and wider local search ecosystem.

The website content and Google Business Profile supported one another. Practice information, location details, services, and contact options remained aligned across both surfaces.

This created a clearer path from local discovery to a call or appointment enquiry.

05 β€” Technical SEO and Continued Improvement

The redesigned website received the technical and on-page optimization needed to support both organic and local visibility.

We improved page titles, meta descriptions, headings, image information, internal links, indexation signals, and relevant schema markup.

The website’s sitemap, crawl paths, mobile experience, and performance were also reviewed. Technical problems were corrected without adding unnecessary complexity to the small website.

Google Search Console helped us monitor clicks, impressions, search queries, and the pages receiving visibility.

Performance data guided later refinements to metadata, content, internal links, and local targeting.

The campaign was not treated as complete once the website was published. Ranktriz continued maintaining the online presence, updating information, monitoring search activity, and supporting the Google Business Profile.

This connected the initial redesign with continued patient acquisition rather than leaving the website unchanged after launch.

Organic Search Growth

The latest three-month Google Search Console comparison showed significant growth against the previous three months.

Organic clicks increased from 253 to 1.12K.

That represents an increase of approximately 342.7% and around 867 additional visits from Google Search.

Search impressions increased from 2.7K to 21.9K, representing growth of approximately 711.1%.

The click-through rate changed from 9.4% to 5.1% as the website began appearing for a much wider group of searches.

Average position changed from 5.9 to 11 during the comparison. This reflected the website gaining visibility for many new queries that had not previously ranked, while established searches continued contributing traffic.

The growth should therefore be understood through the wider result: the practice expanded from a narrow search presence to substantially greater discovery across relevant organic queries.

Google Business Profile Performance

The strongest business outcome came from Google Business Profile.

Between February and July 2025, the profile generated 2,117 recorded interactions.

During the same six-month period, it produced 438 direct calls.

That equals an average of approximately 73 calls per month, with the highest displayed month reaching close to 100 calls.

Calls represented roughly 20.7% of the recorded Business Profile interactions.

For a medical practice, these actions carried greater business value than visibility alone. Each call represented a potential patient seeking information, checking availability, or moving towards an appointment.

The client confirmed that the increased calls contributed to patient appointments and was pleased with the campaign’s outcome.

No individual patient information is included in this case study.

The Outcome

The campaign gave the Delaware endocrinology practice a digital presence that better reflected the doctor and the quality of the practice.

  • The redesigned website was smaller than many healthcare websites, but every page served a clear purpose.
  • Patients received carefully researched information written in a natural tone. The doctor reviewed and approved the medical content before it was published.
  • Technical and on-page optimization helped the website reach more people through organic search. However, Google Business Profile produced the campaign’s most valuable result.
  • Profile optimization, consistent updates, accurate business information, and supporting citations helped generate 2,117 interactions and 438 calls in six months.
  • The website and local profile worked together to help patients discover the practice, understand its services, and make contact.
  • Most importantly, the campaign did not sacrifice medical accuracy for traffic. Research, professional review, local visibility, and patient trust remained connected throughout the work.
  • The client gained a stronger online presence, a significant increase in calls, and new appointment opportunities from local patients.
